Clothing Care

Ideally, denim, jersey and fleece items should be machine washed at 30 degrees.  Washing at 40 degrees is possible but the environmental impact will be far greater.  Knitwear should be hand washed or machine washed on a cold wool cycle.  Tumble-drying is not recommended.  Iron on a low heat.

The main environmental impact is in the washing of clothes.  Washing at a lower temperature reduces all environmental impacts by around 10%.  Eliminating tumble-drying leads to around 50% reduction in the global climate change impact of the garment.  Using eco-friendly washing products is not more expensive and they are just as effective as regular products.
